Dear Parents:
Thank you for expressing an interest in St. Paul Lutheran School. We feel very blessed to be a resource for families who desire to add that fourth “R” to their child’s education-Religion. Notice that I said “families”! Families are at the core of our programs. God has made you the spiritual caretakers for your child. Likewise, you entrust your children to a school to provide special training that will help them mature into well-rounded adults.
St. Paul has been a source of that special training for over 120 years. We view Christian education as our mission here at St. Paul. Our congregational members support this mission by being the chief financial sponsors of our school. It costs over $4,800 a year to educate just one child. That money is generated from the generous offerings and donations of the St. Paul congregation. The remainder of the cost is covered through fees and tuition. If your child enrolls at St. Paul your family will receive a scholarship worth over $2,800. We also expect parent involvement in various projects throughout the year that raise funds for special projects at the school. If you want to be a sideline parent, St. Paul is not the place for you. You are a key component in your child’s education through your financial support, through your spiritual role modeling and through your active participation in helping your child grow and learn.
As we have explained in your initial contact, we offer a Christian educational program for students in PK3 thru 8th grade. We integrate the faith in all of our subject areas. Our Pre-Kindergarten program is licensed by the state. Our K-8 grade teachers are Texas certified and St. Paul is a nationally accredited school. We provide a band program for grades 5-8 and a full season of competitive athletics for grades 5-8. We have a caring faculty and staff who together offer over 60 years of combined experience in the classroom.
If you are interested in becoming a part of this family called St. Paul, now is the time to act. Our enrollment for new students opens March 22nd. Each grade has a 13 student limit due to the quality of education we wish to provide. Your $100 deposit per student will place them onto a list of prospective students. If no spots become available for your child, we will refund that deposit. Otherwise that $100 will be combined with the fall registration fee to purchase textbooks. We have attached a tuition schedule and list of other fees that may apply to your child. The only fee expected at this time is the $100 enrollment fee. You and your child must also meet with Mrs. Melcher and Mrs. Brymer if your child is in PK before your enrollment becomes permanent. A copy of the student’s birth certificate, social security card, immunization record and previous school information is also required.
We wish we had room to take every child wishing a Christian education but space is limited. Don’t let your child miss the tremendous gift of a Christian education. We look forward to adding your name to our growing list of family members. If you have additional questions, please contact us at 898-2711. St. Paul Lutheran School does not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, color, national or ethnic origin, age, disability, religion, or political belief in the administration of its policies, admission policies, student programs, athletic programs and other administered programs.
God’s Blessings,
Mrs. Cindy Melcher,
Principal
