Our new Early Childhood Center is complete and thriving. For 133 years and counting, our heavenly Father has incredibly blessed St. Paul Lutheran Church and School in Thorndale. He had bestowed us with caring pastors who have served as faithful stewards and shepherds over His flock. He has provided us with loving school teachers and incredible administrators who are eager to share His amazing love and the gift of learning through a Christian education. God continues to bless us with a growing ministry and the challenges of how to cultivate the bright future of St. Paul.

However, the responsibility to cover the cost of the building will be ongoing until the financial note has a zero balance. Online donations to assist with the cost of the facility can be made by clicking on the link to the right of this paragraph.

Thank you for your support as we work together to further God’s kingdom by providing a Christ-centered education to the children of our community both now and in the future.

Follow us as we “Build the Vision” through our FAITH in God, FAMILIES of past and present, for FUTURE generations of children.

Beginning July 28th, 2020, the St. Paul Build the Vision committee worked diligently to put plans together for the future construction of a 12,500 square foot classroom facility which would include seven new classrooms designed to meet the state requirements for our Early Childhood Education program as well as dressing rooms and restrooms. Bland Construction from Rockdale, TX was hired as the contractor to build the $1.5 million facility.

After five months of planning, the Build the Vision Committee presented the plans and cost of construction to the Voters’ assembly of St. Paul and on January 17th, resolutions were passed approving the construction and financing of the new facility. On January 23rd, 2021, work to clear the construction site of trees took place and dirt began to move on January 25th to begin laying the foundation for the new facility with hopes of an August 1st, 2021 complete date.

As contractors worked through the struggles of employee and material storages which were created by the COVID pandemic, our Lord continued to bless the plans for our new educational wing. On the August 17, 2022, as St. Paul Lutheran School began its 131st year of education, the Early Childhood Education wing opened its doors to welcome 55 Pre-K children and 19 Kindergarteners. The official ribbon cutting ceremony was held on August 21, 2022 to celebrate a new chapter and to give thanks to our heavenly Father for His continued blessings on the educational ministry taking place at St. Paul Lutheran Church and School.
